Silver Vine Arts is an artist led collective who run the annual festival Summer Art Trail, part of the City Festival. The festival highlights all creative organisations in Leicester, whilst supporting the local community, small independent businesses and showcasing local and national artists.
SVA continue to set up galleries in unexpected areas, host internships and placements through out the year whilst running the contemporary art stall , The Encounter Counter, which represents 22 of the artist collective.
The Encounter Counter will be coming to the Open 26 exhibition on the 2nd and 3rd May exhibiting high quality, affordable art to purchase. Featuring artists such as Tracy Kershaw, Oliver Legar, Wayne Mitchelson and many more with artworks for sale between £3 to £5.
As we are all about encouraging people to get creative, at each event the stall apears the public are invited to take pictures that will be copied on to a film and transferred onto the wooden stall - the stall in time will morph and will change into a work of art for a later SVA exhibition.
All the proceeds from the event will go straight back to the artists and a percentage to SVA to help develop more paid opportunities for artists as well as bring more art for all to experience!
